Courage Choir

Felicity Courage
Founder and Conductor.
Courage Choir was a pipe dream for two years before I finally got my act together in September 2012 thanks to the encouragement of many brilliant women. My experience includes being a singing and drama teacher at Erlestoke Prison, a Performing Arts and Music lecturer at City of Bath
College and at Chippenham College, Stagecoach Singing and Drama teacher, solo singer for John Rutter, performer on
national touring musical with Partytime Productions and member and composer for all girl trio ‘The Blues Floozies’.
I currently teach singing in local schools during the day. My qualifications including three separate teaching certificates,
a Dip ABRSM in Singing Performance, B.A Hons Degree in Performing Arts, Grade 8 Singing, Grade 8 Piano, Grade 8 Clarinet and Grade 5 Music Theory. I am trained in acting, dance and music but singing has always been my specialism.
I love every minute of conducting Courage Choir because we have been blessed with a wonderful group of talented, fun and enthusiastic ladies
ESTHER TAYLOR:
Pianist
Esther studied the piano at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and holds Qualified Teacher Status. She teaches piano to students of all levels, from beginner through to diploma level. Esther is also a classroom music teacher and has taught across all key stages from Early Years through to A level, and specialises in the Kodaly method.
Esther is also a keen accompanist, working regularly with choirs and soloists. Esther sang alto with the Courage Choir before becoming their accompanist - a role she really enjoys as it keeps her closely connected to choral music.
